WSUS Incompatibility – Spider initially fails to start

When logging onto the PCSchool Spider an error presents as:image1

If WSUS is installed on the machine it will change one of the dll’s to the 64 bit. Changing the “32 bit application” to false will start Spider working but will create issues if using 32bit calls.

We can change the WSUS compression to false to get the login page.

Further information at:  http://forums.iis.net/t/1149768.aspx

This is an example of how to take off the suppression:image2
