Spider and IE9 (Internet Explorer 9)

Issue

Some of the issues we have found with accessing Spider with IE9 include:

– Unable to navigate to additional pages when selecting Teacher Codes.

– Inability to select a  Teacher Code in the list.

– Result Entry does not display any data once all fields have been entered; “Please wait…” message is the only thing that is displayed.

– Absence Review – student names on the left scroll independently to the absence table on the right, making it impossible to match up the correct line of absences to the student (this is also an issue in IE8).

These are just some of the issues I have found, but some staff (that had IE9 installed) had reported that data was not being displayed and accessing Results Entry was unusable.

Solution

Sometimes the website you’re visiting doesn’t look right. It shows up as a jumble of out-of-place menus, images, and text boxes. If Internet Explorer recognizes that the webpage isn’t compatible, you’ll see the Compatibility View button on the Address bar.
