PCSchool have introduced the facility for IT staff to setup a generic network EMail Trace file to monitor messages between PCSchool and your SMTP server.
You need to create a folder to hold the log files. This folder needs to be accessible to all users with rights to create files in this folder. The folder name is entered into the preferences.ini file located in the pcschool data folder. Make a backup of this folder before editing. Edit only as shown below:
As an email is sent the system will automatically create a log entry in the designated file. A new file will be created each day and will carry the date stamp as part of the file name.
The contents of the log show all communications between PCSchool and the SMTP server.
