Unable to Open Output file

Some schools have encountered a problem while doing a PC School internal Backup and/or Data Import/Export where an error message appears relating to Unable to Open Output file. This problems is related to not being able to write to the PC School Data folder.

However, when using products such as Notepad it is possible to create files in this forlder without error, and if a file of the same name already exists in the folder then the error is unlikely to occur.

This problem has found to be associated with the eTrust Anti-Virus software.

To elimiate this error when creating backups or importing/exporting data you will need to exclude the PC School Data folders from Real Time Scanning by eTrust on your server.
