Renegade Codes in Roll Marking are an indication that the record marked has something not quite right about it. There are generally two causes.
The most frequent problem with this is when a Roll is marked in the past using a code or absence status that is no longer in the system. You will need to investigate what the code used was and either put the code back into your AttenanceCodes.xml or remove/change any occurance where the old code was used.
The other time this problem can occur is if the Time Table Periods contain two periods for the same day, with the same Time Of Day value. For example two periods with the Time Of Day AM can cause this problem. The records need to be corrected and/or removed to fix the renegade code.
